What happens to your answers
Last updated 24 October 2026
What’s recorded
When you press “Find my tribe”, your answers are saved with:
- a random code made by the page, so that revisiting your answers updates them rather than counting twice;
- the date, without the time.
That’s all. Your IP address isn’t stored, and there are no cookies, accounts or emails. Nothing recorded can be traced back to you, so it isn’t personal data. It also means individual answers can’t be looked up or deleted, because there is no way to tell which ones are yours.
What it’s used for
Overall statistics, such as how many people are closest to each tribe, overall. Country breakdowns may include responses collected before country collection was disabled. These appear on the results page once enough people have taken the quiz, and may be published elsewhere. Groups smaller than 10 people are left out. The answers are kept indefinitely.
Services involved
- Hetzner hosts the server, in Helsinki, Finland.
The quiz is served directly by nginx, without visitor analytics or country lookup. Your IP address is used temporarily in memory to limit excessive requests. Nothing else on the page, including the chart, loads from other sites.
Who runs this
Nimish Gåtam, an individual based in Sweden, as a personal project. Questions: nimishg at gmail dot com. If you have concerns about how data is handled, you can contact the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
